GRC Peakhurst Campus is proud to support the student-run organisation, Wear It Purple, who support sexuality and gender diverse young people.
The organisation is passionate about empowering these young people to be proud of who they are, creating a world which celebrates diversity and is safe for all young people.
Wear it Purple is supported by the NSW Police and Australian Federal Police, working in collaboration to create a safer world for our young people.
GRC Peakhurst Campus, is proud to be supporting the campaign on Friday August 30 and will be doing so in the following ways:
- Students are invited to wear purple accessories to complement their uniform on Friday August 30. While it is still a FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM DAY, students can wear purple ribbons in their hair, purple earrings, purple ties or purple scarves.
- A purple cake stall will be run by the SRC at lunch time.
- Purple paper hearts will be on display to be signed as a pledge to the cause.
- Students supportive of the day will be given a purple wristband to keep.
We thank you for your support of our school's desire to create a school which is welcoming, safe and comfortable for all students.
