English

In English, students learn about the study and use of the English language in its various textual forms. These encompass spoken, written and visual texts through which meaning is shaped, conveyed, interpreted and reflected. Complexity increases as students progress through their schooling.

Mathematics

The Mathematics faculty is committed to fostering an authentic appreciation for numbers, logic, and problem-solving across our diverse student community. Our dedicated team inspires curiosity and excellence across all stages of learning, with an emphasis on working mathematically and applying strategies beyond the classroom.

Science

The Science faculty is energetic, student-centred, and future-focused. They design engaging lessons that spark curiosity, build strong scientific literacy and numeracy, and grow every student’s abilities through practical investigations, data analysis, and clear communication.

Human society and its environment (HSIE)

The HSIE faculty inspires students to explore the world around them - past, present, and future. Through their engaging core and elective programs, students develop curiosity, understanding, and a sense of global citizenship.

Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE)

The PDHPE faculty prides itself on providing students with the best opportunities to participate in various forms of physical activity, as well as teaching our students about the domains of health, guiding their development and learning to ensure they are able to lead active, full and healthy lives.

Creative and performing arts (CAPA)

Studying the creative arts, students learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform. Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements and concepts, as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Technical and applied science (TAS)

The TAS faculty offers a range of courses where students engage in practical experiences and develop knowledge and understanding of contemporary and advancing technologies.

Languages

The Japanese faculty is dedicated to inspiring a love of language and culture through engaging and authentic learning experiences. All of our students engage in Japanese in Year 8, and then can elect to study Japanese in Years 9 and 10. The programs emphasise cultural immersion, creativity, and real-world application.

Learning enhancement

At our school, Learning Enhancement supports students to achieve their personal best through evidence-based intervention. Our team works closely with teachers, families and external providers to identify individual learning needs and implement effective strategies.

Special Education

The Special Education faculty consists of a team of dedicated staff who teach and support students with IO/Autism and moderate intellectual and physical disabilities across our five support classes.
