Human society and its environment (HSIE)

The HSIE faculty inspires students to explore the world around them - past, present, and future. Through engaging in a range of subjects and electives, students develop curiosity, understanding, and a sense of global citizenship.

The HSIE team is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, literacy, numeracy, and a lifelong love of learning in a supportive, inclusive, and challenging environment. Students study core subjects of geography and history, as well as a range of electives in Stage 5 (Years 9-10). Our VET (Vocational Education and Training) Retail Services and VET Workplace Skills course builds practical, work-ready abilities that prepare students for future success.
